Youtube Friday, June 4, 2010 at 12:46AM Most years in the past, Summer has always meant it was time to get away from the all the work and to relax. Not so in 2010. Already, this summer has been very busy and starting in July, things are going to get 100x busier.
Here's a recap of some of the more significant events :
FKBC Men's GMC Basketball Team finishes 2ND
Let's be honest - if a team with 3 black players, 1 half white/korean player, 1 white player and only 1 full korean player with me aka charlie brown as coach, people are going to talk (and not in the positive way). We all knew this going into this tournament, especially with GMC's tournament reputation, but what happened during the first week was INEXCUSABLE. I still get upset just thinking about what/when/how was said but am proud of all my boys on how they handled it all. Even though we lost in the last second, literally by only one point, we left with our heads held up high and the satisfaction that we played and acted the right way throughout. Proud of yall.
FKBC Ecuador Mission's Trip Carwash
By the grace of God, we raised $1300 on our own and a generous man (understatement) donated a cashier check to us for $6000, so in total we raised $7,300 in one saturday. God is good, but we want more for He wants more for us.
There's a WHOLE bunch else coming up but will wait to update yall when everything is finalized. Super excited and infinitely inspired. 2010, we're only halfway through and the best has yet to come ya hearddd.
