Thank You - I'm 25. I'm 3/4 to the end of my life.
Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:48PM DANG! If my blog was my girlfriend, she would be so mad that I neglect her all this time until I needed something from her. Oh well, I use and abuse, what can I say <- joke.
I just want to say a very special THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the overwhelming love that has been poured onto me by my friends and family. Last year's birthday was kinda whack, so I didn't expect much this time around. Thank you for all the text messages, phone calls, facebook wall posts, emails, visits, dinners and gifts. I'm not big on presents, but the thought of trying to make me feel special on this one day definitely meant a lot to me. I want to dedicate this time to give a special shout out to those who made this birthday the best one yet
Mom, Dad & Sister: Always there for me. It's been a hard journey these past few years, but I'm glad that I have a family like this to go through it with and God has definitely been blessing us and showing us a lot. Family, I will bring financial relief to you guys one day. I promise you.
Cristian, Tu, Erock, Steve, Gina & Angela: Thank you for bringing lots of laughter and fun when we went to Dave & Busters. Too many inside jokes to ever keep count. You guys are my closest and longest friends and I wouldn't have it any other way. Let's try to see each other more than every 2 years now.
Janet: Thank you for the surprise and the week of torture! It's okay, Carvel cake makes up for anything!
Tom, Jennie, Jacob: The OG members of Tomprah (along with Tu-Anh & Julienne aka J9) You guys have truly been there by my side with Helping Hands and all my other endeavors. You guys are more than "connections" but great friends who I can trust and confide in. I don't know where I'd be in 2011 if I haven't met you all only 2 years ago. Thank you for the hook ups to the Wizard game and thanks to Eddie Lee of Jubilee Project for allowing me to meet Jeremy Lin.
GT: Thank you for the surprising gift card. The all spanish email with instructions to retreieve was even more surprsing
Theresa, PD, Sister Eunah & the FK fam: Thank you for the "surprise" birthday dinner. Sorry, I like to ruin surprises, thats just what I do. I was truly humbled for all the efforts and the time spent with me on that night. At times, one wonders what their place is in a community, and sometimes I had my doubt. But after this night, I am confirmed in my place in the FK family. Thank you all.
To everyone else who bought me food or wished me a Happy Birthday, thank you!
I made this vow before but I will attempt to update my blog more. I am paying $12+/month so I better get my moneys worth! Next update will be
